S otheby’s is honored to host this benefit auction on behalf of the Norton Museum of Art.
The Norton Museum of Art’s 80th Anniversary Art Auction includes over 90 exceptional works generously donated by pre-eminent artists, collectors, and galleries in South Florida and the world. Lots include paintings, sculpture, photographs, works on paper, mixed-media, jewelry, watches, and additional exclusive items.
Auction proceeds will benefit the Norton’s curatorial and exhibition program, its commitment to supporting emerging artists, and diversity initiatives. A special focus is the groundbreaking Recognition of Art by Women (RAW) exhibition series which since its inception 10 years ago has offered solo museum surveys to Jenny Saville (2011), Sylvia Plimack Mangold (2012), Phyllida Barlow (2013), Klara Kristalova (2015), Njideka Akunyili Crosby (2016), Svenja Deininger (2017), Nina Chanel Abney (2019), and Maria Berrio (2021).
The Norton, located in West Palm Beach, Florida, is South Florida’s oldest art museum with collections numbering over 8,000 works in five core areas: American, European, Chinese and Contemporary Art, and Photography. The Museum is a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) organization.
Untitled, XXIII, 2019 (Taipei) by Pat Steir has been generously donated to the Norton Museum of Art Collection by the artist, with this gift facilitated by Levy Gorvy.

The only additional costs due to the winning bidder are applicable sales tax and shipping. Works auctioned are sold “as is,” and condition reports are included with lot descriptions as available.
