This year, the celebration of Napoleon’s bicentenary death is a reminder of the global influence of this extraordinary figure. Beyond the military, political and administrative aspects of his life, Napoleon dominated the arts of his time, laying out the contours of a new aesthetic destined for the expression of his own glorification.
