Unique model almost certainly commissioned for the most famous actor of the French Revolution and Empire, Talma. The armchair bears the symbols of lyric arts, masks of Comedy and Tragedy and the sandals of the Antic Tragédiens as front legs. The overall condition is fine. Structure is solid. Traces of later blocks which have been removed on the seat rails. There are some expected chips and also some refreshments to the painted decoration and gilding. Silk upholstery in fine condition with stains in places.

To recommend.
