Bouteille au chiffre de l’Empereur Napoléon Ier, Début du XIXe siècle


En verre soufflé, de couleur vert sombre, à fond creux, pastille au chiffre “N” sous couronne impériale et avec résidus de contenu. Présenté dans une protection en osier tressé.

Defective push-in cap, risk of the cap coming off, basket in good condition with traces of wear and stains consistent with age, the glass is consistent with age, about 1/4 of liquid inside, chips at the bottle's neck.

This bottle is probably from the battle of Waterloo where it was taken with Napoleon's carriage;

Acquired by Sir Michael Shaw Stewart, 6th Baronet (1788-1836);
