Sotheby's Paris have shared the full details of the upcoming auctions from the Hôtel Lambert. Included within the sales are a fine selection of Old Master Paintings spanning from the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries. Highlights include works by Jan Sanders van Hemessen, Frans Pourbus the Younger, Jean Antoine Watteau, François Boucher, Jean-Marc Nattier and Jean-Honoré Fragonard.
One of the highlights of the Sotheby's London Old Master Paintings Evening Sale in July 2022 was the sale of Fragonard's The Fountain of Love. This magnificent and 'airy' preliminary oil study, which relates to two famous works preserved in the Wallace Collection and J. Paul Getty Museum respectively, realised a total of £718,200.
