Vintage "Poppy Gives Thanks" concert poster.<ul><li>Milton Glaser (American, 1929–2020).</li><li>The concert at Carnegie Hall featured performances by Poppy music label artists Townes Van Zandt, The Mandrake and Dick Gregory.</li><li>Offset lithograph print on paper.</li></ul> Poppy was an unconventional '60s record company that Milton Glaser had introduced with an image of a bright flower breaking through a stone monolith. Ironically, the company was so successful that it was ultimately sold to one of the established bigger companies it had earlier positioned itself against. The typeface-Neo-Futura-a stencil variation on the classic Bauhaus Futura alphabet is only one of the many that Glaser has created.

Vintage Run DMC promotional concert poster.<ul><li>Keith Haring (American, 1958–1990).</li><li>Designed for the occasion of Run DMC's 1986 "My Adidas" tour.</li></ul> The New York-based band Run DMC was one of the first hip-hop and rap bands to reach a general audience. They made the Adidas Superstar sneaker their trademark for their 1986 tour. Keith Haring painted the background for the photo shoot of the poster, which is featured in the catalogue raisonné Keith Haring: Posters (Prestel Publishing entry 43).

The Velvet Underground &amp; Nico rare vinyl record and cover.<ul><li>Produced and designed by Andy Warhol.</li><li>Early 1967 East Coast pressing featuring a partially peeled banana.</li><li>Released by MGM Records, USA.</li></ul> Warhol became the Velvet Underground’s manager in 1966 after seeing them perform in Greenwich Village and then brought German-born singer Nico to the table. Warhol designed the cover as a self-standing artwork, and this is marked by Warhol’s very noticeable printed hand signature. The original album cover allowed fans to peel back the banana skin as a sticker, revealing the fruit of a nude-colored banana underneath. The sexually charged effect was challenging for manufacturers to first pull off (the time it took to perfect the peel was partly the reason the album’s original release was delayed), but MGM deemed it necessary, since Warhol’s visual presence opened unprecedented doors. The actor Eric Emerson, who was projected behind the group during Andy Warhol's Exploding Plastic Inevitable, filed a lawsuit against the record label for non-payment regarding the use of his image (seen upside down on a non-sticker version). Between March/April 1967, the album was quickly withdrawn from record shops. After a few months, the album was redistributed with a large sticker that covered the top of the photo in question.

The broadside of the first 1823 version advertised the title as Presumption, a New Romance with no mention of Frankenstein. It soon became clear, though, that the name itself was a vital part of the story's appeal. All playbills from this period are extremely scarce.

From Russia with Love British film poster starring Sean Connery as James Bond.<ul><li>Eric Pulford (British, 1915–2005).</li><li>Renato Fratini (Italian, b. 1932).</li><li>Film by Eon Productions and directed by Terence Young.</li><li>Also starring Desmond Llewelyn in his debut role as Q, a role that he would play for 36 years.</li><li>Framed.</li></ul> Eric Pulford was responsible for designing hundreds of film posters during his long career. Pulford ran Downton Advertising agency, which held the Rank account and accounts with most of the other large studios. He was instrumental in bringing Renato Fratini, an Italian commercial artist, to London, and collaborated with him on many poster campaigns. Often Pulford produced the design and Fratini did the painting. This was the only British Bond poster campaign that Fratini worked on, and is undoubtedly one of the most famous and collectible posters in the Bond series.
