Following the groundbreaking exhibition Oceania at the Royal Academy and at the musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac, this auction will present a highly selective group of objects and will promote the exceptional quality and diversity of Oceanic Art, selected by CASOAR. CASOAR is a group of graduate students from the Ecole du Louvre that wanted to share its knowledge and its passion for Oceania’s arts and cultures by creating, in the first place, a blog in 2017. After a year and a half and many published articles, CASOAR becomes an association in February 2019 – the idea behind the project was to expand its creation and become part of many diverse projects. CASOAR will soon unveil new projects to come in 2020.
