T his January’s Part II online sale of Master Paintings presents a wide range of works dating from the 14th to the 19th centuries. The sale includes a number of important Renaissance devotional paintings, 17th century Dutch and Flemish paintings, portraiture across the ages, landscapes, still lifes and more. We are honored to feature property from important collections including works from the Art Institute of Chicago, property from the Late Paula and Don Gaston, property from the collection of Gerald E. Rupp, and property from the Estate of Nelson Shanks, whose single-owner sale also takes place during Masters Week.
Additional Old Master paintings highlights include an elegant oval mythological painting by Volterrano, an early Flemish work by an artist close to Rubens, three detailed Dutch church interiors from a private collection, several beautiful Venetian views, and two impressive portraits by Thomas Lawrence.
Masters Week exhibitions open at 10am on January 22 with the final sale exhibitions closing on January 27 at 5pm.
