The thick panel is uncradled and stable. The paint surface is stable. The painting has been restored, and inspection under UV reveals concentrated strokes and larger areas of retouching to her face and neck. Some additional touches of retouching are visible in her costume, as well as some strokes scattered in background. Some of the retouches have discolored in some places and are visible to naked eye. Offered unframed.

This bust-length portrait of Eleonora di Toledo—not Lucrezia Borgia as incorrectly inscribed along the upper edge—follows a detail from Bronzino's three-quarter length portrait of Eleonora seated with her son Giovanni today in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.1
