This spring, Sotheby’s paid tribute to the creative voices from the 19th century to today who have pushed boundaries and challenged the definition of art. Inspired by these bold creators, we invited artist-activist Ai Weiwei and musician, producer and entrepreneur A$AP Rocky, two very different voices, to discuss the courage needed to create truly original artwork. Through their current projects, the pair revealed complementary sources of inspiration and a unified vision of why art is central to humanity.
