S otheby’s presents a jewel in the heart of Normandy: the Manoir of Saint-Calais. The current owner, a friend and patron of French artist-designer Hubert Le Gall, spent seven years bringing the domain back to its former glory. The property houses one of the most important collections of Le Gall’s singular and playful creations, which take their place alongside pieces of antique furniture, and works by David Hockney, Camille Pissarro and Allan Ramsay.
