This summer, Sotheby’s will hold the auction “Provenances”, which juxtaposes three different worlds: the creativity of the DIMORESTUDIO duo, a historical array of Oceanic art from the collection of Marc de Monbrison, and a series of photographs by Robert Mapplethorpe and Nan Goldin. All three sets have in common their prestigious provenance and a sense of history.
To celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the innovative DIMORESTUDIO, Britt Moran and Emiliano Salci will present an array of furniture created by their design and architectural studio and other renowned Italian designers. The sale will offer 60 pieces of Italian design. The duo will also coordinate the scenography of the exhibition, to be held at our galleries in Paris from 3–11 July – set to be given carte blanche to imagine a common curation to these three categories by mixing and matching different eras and artisanal techniques.
