The Dalmore L’Anima, aged 49 years (‘L’Anima meaning “soul” in Italian), is a one-of-one single malt bottling available exclusively through Sotheby’s. Created from three unique assemblages brought together by Master Distiller, Richard Paterson, and world famous chef, Massimo Bottura, this bottling uses some of the distillery’s most exquisite casks. A marriage of rare Dalmore expressions which were previously matured in freshly emptied small batch bourbon barrels, Gonzalez Byass casks which previously held 40 year old ‘Pedro Ximenez’ sherry and Graham’s Vintage Port Pipes.
The stunning whisky is presented in a Baccarat crystal decanter with a sterling silver collar and sterling silver stopper. Packed in a bespoke handcrafted wooden cabinet made of Italian olive, American black walnut and ebony. The proceeds from the sale of this bottle will be donated to Massimo Bottura’s non-profit organisation
