Style - Mobilier et Objets d’Art is a tribute to the decor of the great Parisian stately homes, comprising not only important furniture and objets d’art with prestigious provenance but also more accessible and charming pieces. It is precisely this combination that brings character to these interiors, where beauty is the watchword.
The Style sale offers works from several private collections, including the contents of two Parisian hôtels particuliers where one can find the great signatures of French ébénisterie. Among the star lots of this sale is an impressive group of seven tapestries from the series, Les Grotesques, made at the Manufacture de Beauvais in the early eighteenth century and a very rare pair of commodes from the Louis XVI period stamped Ferdinand Bury. The sale follows with more decorative lots: magnificent oil lamps, table tops in scagliola and a multitude of objects carefully selected for their high quality and decorative effect.
