A George III gilt-mounted turtleshell table clock, for the Turkish market, circa 1790
6-inch painted dial set within an engraved silvered mask, strike/silent dial in the arch, the fusee movement with five knopped pillars, verge escapement and striking on a bell, the backplate engraved with a basket of flowers and foliate scrolls, the case veneered in red shell and with a concave-sided cresting and urn finial above foliate mounts, rococo side frets and scroll feet with hoof feet; together with an associated and earlier Louis XV gilt-mounted turtleshell boulle wall bracket with altered top above mask and foliate mounts and scroll inlay to the brown shell,
