New York | 10-14 September

Sotheby’s is honored to offer over 300 Chinese works of art originally gifted by philanthropists and renowned Asian art collectors Florence and Herbert Irving to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In this video, discover a collection of sculptures, jades and porcelains inspired by nature and made for emperors and scholars. Led by a finely carved, jade ‘Immortals’ Brushpot from the Qing Dynasty, the sales feature a wide ranging mix of rare art and objects that emphasize the natural world. Presented as a highlight of our Asia Week sale series this September in New York, the full proceeds of these incredible pieces will benefit an Irving acquisition fund to further enhance the Metropolitan Museum’s holdings of Asian Art.
