This season the Russian Works of Art, Fabergé & Icons Sale will include an important group of Russian miniatures from the exceptional collection of portrait miniatures assembled by Dr Erica Pohl-Ströher (1919-2016). The Icons section boasts a varied selection of works from early Greek and Russian Orthodox traditions to intricate cloisonné enamelwork of the late 19th / early 20th century workmasters. The auction also features a distinguished group of Russian enamels including property from an important private collection and illustrates the flair and craftsmanship of the workshops of Fabergé, Feodor Rückert and Ovchinnikov.
