Art Impressionniste et Moderne, Day Auction

S otheby's Paris is pleased to announce its upcoming day sale of Impressionist and Modern Art. The sale will feature a broad selection of paintings, works on paper and sculptures by major Impressionist, Post-Impressionist and Modern artists, including Pablo Picasso, Auguste Rodin and Bernard Buffet. The sale includes works by Symbolist artist Odilon Redon and the Nabis, as well as remarkable landscapes by Albert Marquet, Paul Signac and Maurice Utrillo. Surrealism is represented by Victor Brauner, Wifredo Lam and René Magritte and Belgian art will be honored with a very rare and striking portrait painted by expressionist artist Gustave van de Woestyne. Finally, there are two paintings by Jean Metzinger, including Figure et chevaux de proue, a superb painting formerly from the collection of Léonce Rosenberg.
