circular, the lid centred with an appliqué carved bloodstone altar of love hung with hardstone swags and resting on a carved tapering agate pedestal, on a foiled carnelian-coloured background, within a frame of simulated pearls, the polished gold ground on all sides inlaid in 60 different scale-shaped hardstone specimens, including Schlottwitz agate, starling stone and jasper, each engraved with a number above, the base centred with a flowerhead of carnelians inlaid in 'Zellenmosaik' around an individual central simulated pearl, further border of the same kind, gold-lined, unmarked
