A Touch of Green

Tourmaline, peridot, demantoid garnet: there are many green stones but the most precious of them all is emerald. It’s renowned as being Cleopatra and Napoleon’s favourite stone. The famous emperor gave many jewels with emeralds to his wife Josephine and a huge emerald weighing 440 carats to Pope Pius VII. Thanks to chromium and vanadium, the emerald is green. The most desirable emeralds come from Colombia but those from Brazil are highly appreciated too.

Italy Forever!

Bulgari, Buccellati, Santagostino, Nardi, Codognato: these names go hand in hand with Italy. There are no limits, and everything is possible. The aventurine is combined with precious and handcrafted gold, the rings become sculptures, the full colour impact is potent. What is an Italian jewel ? In most cases, it’s a wearable jewel with a distinctive character.

Summer Vibes

Summer is coming and bringing a host of new colour requirements. Thanks to Seaman Schepps and Van Cleef & Arpels, we have the chance to wear seashells or flowers in our ears. A rainbow of colourful jewels is ready-to-hand: orange-brown (citrine), orangey pink (padparadscha sapphire), light blue (aquamarine), purplish-blue (tanzanite), purple (amethyst), green (peridot) and more.
