rectangular with rounded corners, decorated with finely painted varicoloured art nouveau style natural motifs, centring on one side a moonlit scene with a sleeping satyr, a lute and an owl; the other side on a floral composition with two nightingales on a branch, the interior lined with a maroon cloth in compartments, struck on both sides with indistinct maker's mark, 84 standard
