Celebrated chef and restaurateur Mark Hix was at Sotheby’s in London this week for several events ahead of the Contemporary Curated sale, which went on to realise £2.2 million, with over a third of the lots exceeding their pre-sale high estimates. Guests to New Bond Street also had the opportunity to take a look at stunning highlights from the upcoming New York Impressionist and Contemporary sales, including Raising The Bar: Masterworks from the Collection of Morton and Barbara Mandel. Meanwhile, to celebrate Geneva’s Magnificent Jewels and Noble Jewels auction in May, Sotheby’s Senior Directors, Andres White Correal and Daniela Mascetti hosted a private luncheon in London where guests included Sotheby’s White Baaz, Eugenie Niarchos, Noor Fares, Elizabeth Von Thurn Und Taxis and Carolina Herrera.
