Koie Ryoji is considered one of the most innovative Japanese ceramic artists of his time. Koie started the art of pottery at a young age and was extremely gifted. In 1962, he entered the Tokoname Ceramic Art Institute, his work was exhibited at the Asahi Ceramic Art Exhibition in the following year. Throughout his career, he has won multiple awards, including the Japan Ceramic Society Award in 1993, the Chunichi Cultural Award in 2005, and the Gold Prize for the Japan Society Award in 2008. His works are in the permanent collections of major institutions worldwide, including the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and Seoul Museum of Art, Korea.


鯉江良二被認為是其同時代最具創造力的當代日本陶藝家之一。他從小開始製作陶器,並展露了極高的天賦。鯉江1962年來到常滑市立陶艺研究所,入學一年後作品就入選了朝日陶藝展。鯉江良二一生中斬獲了許多獎項,包括1993年的「日本陶磁協会獎」,2005年的「中日文化獎」,和2008年的「日本陶磁協会賞金賞」。他的作品也被世界各地知名博物館收藏,包括倫敦維多利亞和阿爾伯特和首爾美術館。
