Description

Grateful Dead

Typing table from the Grateful Dead offices in San Rafael

Metal rolling typing table (36 x 25’’) with fold down sides, with Grateful Dead sticker.

Used in the Grateful Dead office throughout the 1970’s, first at their Lincoln St address.

“Big” Steve Parish: “This typing table was used at 5th and Lincoln GD office. We got it in 1970, for the first electric typewriter that GD owned. It was used by Annette Flowers, Bonnie Parker, and Gail Hellund, who put the first Skull and Roses sticker we got on it. The table was always around. We had contracts and checks to sign, fan mail, you name it. The amount of fan mail coming in was incredible. Business always had to be conducted.”
