Signed P. Tchelitchew, dated 39 and inscribed indistinctly (lower left); titled (toward upper left); dedicated to Julien to be merry from Pavlik (toward lower left) 

Pen and ink and ink wash on paper

10½ by 8¼ in. (26.7 by 21 cm)

Framed: 18⅝ by 16½ in. (47.3 by 42 cm)

Executed in 1940. 

Condition Report

Executed on cream wove paper. The sheet is hinged with mounting corners at all four corners. There are two artist's pinholes along the top edge. There are minor handling creases along all four edges. There is a flattened crease running diagonally across the lower right quadrant measuring 7 inches in length. The work is in very good condition overall.
