Catalogue Note

The second Aldine edition, previously issued by Aldus in quarto format in 1500. The text has been revised by Andrea Navagero, and in the dedication Aldus laments that his ill health did not enable him to assist with the editing. This was to be the last publication by the Aldine press before Aldus himself died in March 1515.
