Journal of the Convention of the State of Arkansas: which was begun and held in the capitol, in the city of Little Rock, on Monday, the fourth day of March, one thousand, eight hundred and sixty-one. Little Rock: Johnson & Yerkes, 1861
8vo (220 x 130 mm). Appendix at end; scattered foxing, offsetting, and marginal browning, a few early tape repairs. Half calf and marbled paper-covered boards, gilt-lettered label to spine.
First edition. "Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas, That the governor shall issue his proclamation, ordering an election in all the counties in this state, submitting to the people the question of 'convention' or 'no convention,' be held on the eighteenth day of February, 1861, which election shall be conducted as state elections are now conducted; Provided, That the sheriffs of the several counties shall be required to give but ten days' notice of said election."
