T he New Year celebrations continued at Sotheby’s in Brussels this week with an evening of cocktails and Modern and Contemporary Art.
More than 100 guests gathered at the Brussels office to preview highlights from upcoming sales in London, Paris, New York and Hong Kong.
The highlights on show included works by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Paul Delvaux, René Magritte, Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita, Pablo Picasso, Man Ray, Auguste Renoir and Zeng Fanzhi.
Emmanuel Van de Putte, Managing Director Brussels said: “The event was a great start of the new season with the exhibition of exceptional works from Belgian provenance by international artists. It shows the continuous great taste of the historic Belgian collectors.”
