This March’s Surrealist Art Evening sale features a wonderful variety of works by some of the most important artists of the movement. Leading the sale is Salvador Dalí’s 1930s masterpiece, Moment de transition. Exquisitely painted, the work embodies Dalí’s unique form of Surrealism. Among the other highlights are Paul Delvaux’s enigmatic dreamscape Jeunes filles au bord de l’eau and Souvenir de voyage painted by Magritte in the early 1960s. These will be presented alongside an important gouache by Magritte, Le Repas de noces. The sale also includes works by Joan Miró, Francis Picabia and Oscar Domínguez and a rare, unique object by Marcel Duchamp.
