S otheby's London is pleased to present its autumn Impressionist and Modern Art Sale, open for bidding from Thursday 30 September–Thursday 7 October. The sale showcases paintings, sculpture and works on paper from the most celebrated artists of the late 19th and 20th centuries.
Highlights of the sale include a dramatic composition by Marc Chagall that showcases his quintessential romantic visual idiom as well as captivating paintings from the masters of Impressionism including Max Liebermann and Eugène Boudin. Excellent examples of the works by School of Paris artists such as Jean Dufy and Bernard Buffet are complemented by striking bronzes by Henry Moore, Rembrandt Bugatti and Salvador Dalí.
