The canvas is not lined. Inspection under UV light reveals a few small sensitively executed spots and lines of retouching to the composition (predominantly to the sky), a couple of small spots to the left part of the extreme upper edge and a diagonal line (approx. 2cm) to the lower right of the clock tower. There is a tiny puncture to the upper part of the extreme right edge. There is some frame abrasion to parts of the extreme edges and some wear and small canvas losses to all four corners, not visible when framed. There are some fine lines of minor paint shrinkage and craquelure in places, the most prominent of which is a diagonal line to the right of the clock tower. This work is in overall good condition.
