Le Port du Havre

signed Raoul Dufy and dated 1902 (lower right)

oil on canvas

50.1 by 61.1cm., 19¾ by 24in.

Framed: 73.2 by 83cm., 28¾ by 32¾in.

Painted in 1902.

The canvas is lined. Inspection under UV light reveals an approximately 5cm-long vertical line of historic retouching to the centre of the lower edge and some possible retouching along the extreme upper edge. There is some light surface dirt and some fine lines of craquelure in places. This work is in overall good condition.
