Michele della Valle is a true colourist. Nature has always been an important source of inspiration for jewellery and the world of della Valle is where nature meets with colours and dreams. The ‘Anemoni’ necklace, capturing the splendour of nature, is the perfect example of della Valle’s flora inspired jewels. The flowers on this delicate garland, set with coloured sapphires and rubies looks like they have just been picked out of a garden. The fanciful ‘Fragole’ bangle with realistic coral berries seems straight out of a fairy tale. His vivacious animal creatures, often featuring movement and set with bright gemstones, like the pair of yellow sapphire ‘Chicks’ ear clips or the enamel and diamond ‘Monkeys’ reveals the playful side of this opera lover who has an acute eye for the stage and the theatrical.
