Pair of enamel and diamond pendent earrings, 'Monkeys', Michele della Valle

Each designed as a monkey, the body pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamonds, the hands, feet, face and ears applied with beige enamel, one holding a banana applied with white and yellow enamel, the other supporting a coconut set with brilliant-cut diamonds of brown tint, signed MdV, maker's marks, Italian assay marks, case stamped Michele della Valle, hook fittings.

Please note that the diamonds of brown tint have not been tested for natural colour. Signed MdV, maker's marks. Italian assay marks for 18 carat gold, mounted in white gold. Beige, black, yellow and white enamel in overall good condition. Diamonds of brown tint well matched in colour. Diamonds stated to weigh a total of approximately 4.00 - 4.50 carats, on average G-H colour, VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Little signs of wear to the metal. In very good condition. Total gross weight approximately 21 grams. Pouch stamped Michele della Valle.
