The grand reveal of Sotheby’s newly reimagined galleries exceeded all expectations when the doors opened on Friday, unveiling 90,000 square feet of museum-quality space, now teaming with more than 1,400 works of art. From 2,000-year-old treasures from Art of Africa, Oceania and the Americas, luminous works by artists including Manet, Monet, Picasso, Rothko to contemporary canvases painted just last year, the exhibition showcases Sotheby’s flagship as a premier destination for exhibiting art of all shapes, sizes and mediums.
