Dame Lucie Rie, Sgraffito Bowl with Terracotta Banding and Turquoise Ring.
Estimate: £18,000–25,000.

One of the greatest British potters of the past century, Lucie Rie was born in Vienna, and escaped to London at the start of the Second World War. In her small North London studio she created beautifully thrown porcelain and stoneware vessels, including this magnificent Sgraffito Bowl with Terracotta Banding and Turquoise Ring, which truly sings with the luscious bronzed glaze. Something truly fit for a royal!

Sir John Everett Millais. Yeoman of the Guard, St. James’ Palace. Estimate: £5,000–7,000.

This amusing sketch was probably made at St James’ Palace in 1875 when Queen Victoria’s favourite artist, John Everett Millais, was preparing to paint a large picture of The Yeomen of the Guard.

Diamond Tiara, circa 1905 . Estimate: £10,000–15,000 (€11,600–17,400, $14,400–21,500).

There is much speculation about the dress and jewels that Meghan will wear at the ceremony with all of the details under wraps until it’s unveiled in front of a TV audience of millions. This particular tiara, which features in the upcoming Fine Jewels sale, is composed of floral and foliate scrolls rising to alternating spikes and cartouche motifs with circular-, single-cut and rose diamonds.

A toast from the father-in-law…

Chateau Mouton Rothschild 2004 , Estimate: £2,200–3,000. Sold for £3,107.

This six-litre Imperial (equivalent to eight bottles) of Château Mouton Rothschild 2004 would surely impress the bride and groom. The then Château owner, the late Baroness Philippine de Rothschild, approached HRH The Prince of Wales to create a label for the 2004 vintage to celebrate 100 years of the "Entente Cordiale" between France and Britain. The design he chose - a watercolour entitled "Mediterranean pines on Cap d'Antibes" - brilliantly captures the azure sky and earthy colours also associated with the vine.

A Royal connection…

Huntsman royal red slippers . Estimate: £300–500.

Huntsman bespoke royal despatch box . Estimate: £2,000–3,000.

Watching the Netflix series The Crown, created by Huntsman enthusiast Peter Morgan, provided the inspiration for the iconic Royal Red Despatch case. Lined with Huntsman house tweed and featuring an embossed H1849 logo to give the box a Huntsman bespoke twist, the red leather briefcase opens at the opposite side to the handle, allowing for discretion and privacy when opened in the presence of an aide. Inspired by their commission of the Royal Red Despatch box, Huntsman asked their partners at Foster and Son to use the same Royal Red leather to create this pair of red tasselled slippers that are certainly not for the faint hearted. Perfect for those romantic evenings in front of the TV.

For the honeymoon...

Harry and Meghan have spoken about how their love blossomed during a camping trip so perhaps for their honeymoon they could spend seven days touring the US in this luxurious customised Huntsman Airstream.

The interior features Huntsman’s tweed homage to Gregory Peck, as well as a selection of bespoke tweeds created in collaboration with Huntsman enthusiasts Picasso scholar John Richardson, architect Leo Daly, and American Vogue's editor-at-large Hamish Bowles.
