The Design Sales at Sotheby’s this June will present a series of auctions showcasing masterworks spanning over a century of innovation and exceptional taste in Design.

Our sale series commences with Axel Salto: The Burning Now, an exciting auction dedicated to the Danish master ceramicist whose radical forms and experimental glazing pushed the boundaries of 20th Century ceramic art. Our series continues with Important Design, which charts the key aesthetic developments of the 20th and 21st centuries. From Art Deco and early modernism, to French Post War and American Studio, to provocative works of the 21st century, the Important Design sale spotlights the very best examples of these defining periods.

The following day, we are thrilled to present an exciting auction celebrating the remarkable artistry of Tiffany Studios with Masterpieces by Louis Comfort Tiffany, Featuring The Ann and Robert Fromer Collection. This auction showcases the diverse range of Tiffany's acclaimed artistic production, featuring exceptional examples of windows, leaded lamps, favrile glass, pottery, and fancy goods. Leading the auction is a spectacular stained glass window featuring Clematis and Tulips from one of the firm's rare domestic commissions.
