Eva Jospin and Claire Tabouret present exhibitions alongside each other at the Grand Palais. Jospin’s “Grottesco” takes inspiration from an ancient Roman legend of a young man discovering magnificent wall paintings in a forgotten cave. The exhibition, which includes new and never-before-seen works, takes visitors on a journey that merges nature, architecture and the fantastic that incorporates textiles and sculpture. Tabouret, who won France’s competition to replace six stained-glass windows for the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, presents her creative process in “D'un seul souffle.” Full-scale models, sketches and other preparatory studies offer a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes and discover an artwork still in progress.
