S otheby’s Natural History sale presents a carefully curated selection of fossils, minerals, and meteorites among other natural wonders. Highlights of the sale include an exceptionally rare egg of the Extinct Great Auk, one of only 75 eggs documented to be in existence, and this being the first time in over a century one has come to auction; a stunning large iridescent rainbow Ammonite with superb mineralization in ammolite; a full tooth of a Tyrannosaurus rex, complete with intact root; a gorgeous giant slice of petrified Golden Sequoia; an exceptional Tanzanite double crystal; a spectacular, massive Seymchan meteorite with natural hole, and much more.
