folio (313 x 200mm.), title printed in red and black within woodcut border and with the Ascensius printer's device, white on black woodcut criblé initials, with final privilege leaf, later speckled calf, spine gilt in compartments, slight loss of text on H8v-I1r, joints cracked at head and foot


A respected critical edition, preparing using texts provided by Erasmus, together with the commentaries of Marmita, Daniele Caetani and Ascensius himself.
