L uggage tags, tiny shampoo, your passport: these are things you know you need to enjoy a seamless travel experience. Until this very moment, however, you may not have realized that you also need a Louis Vuitton shoe trunk. Luckily our Marketplace has one—along with an eclectic selection of items and accessories that will make traveling for a vacation even more of a joy.
This week's shortlist does double duty offering solutions for the impossible-to-shop-for person in your life. After all, even the man-who-has-everything probably doesn't have a Goyard cigar holder.
Goyard Cigar Case
Goyardine (Maison Goyard's propriety coated canvas with the dotted chevron "Y" logo) has been used to create everything from tote bags to glasses cases. Here, it covers a structured cylindrical case that is designed to contain—and protect—a single cigar. Does anyone truly need such a case? That's not for us to say, but it's certainly a stylish and elegant way to carry one's tobacco product.
Hermès Phone Case
This Hermèsway phone case was first introduced in 2021 and only increased in popularity since its debut. This black leather iteration features gold hardware and the design hallmarks that have made this piece such a hit: an adjustable shoulder strap, card pocket, pouch for headphones and a lipstick holder. If there is a more compact yet luxurious way to keep hold of all your important items, we've yet to find one.
Louis Vuitton Shoe Trunk
Louis Vuitton has a habit of turning their ultra-recognizable logo into pieces of elite luggage for those who insist on traveling in style. This vintage shoe trunk holds eight pairs of shoes in individual pillowed inserts and comes with dust bags, keys and a luggage tag. Packing shoes in their own case is old-school elegance incarnate.
Patek Phillippe Calatrava
The Patek Phillipe Calatrava Pilot watch was designed with frequent fliers in mind—the most notable complication on these watches is the dual time function that allows the wearer to toggle between two time zones. This timepiece, a 5524, has a white-gold case, day/night indicator and oversize lume-filled numerals (unusual for Patek). It's a handy piece if you want to be able to quickly determine whether you still have time to call before bedtime, or if that restaurant in Paris is open for reservations yet.
Chanel Travel Bag
Packing for a trip is often the most stressful part of a vacation. Packing cubes make it easier. It shouldn't be that way—they're essentially suitcases that go inside of suitcases—but somehow it works. Of course, Chanel has their own version, done in nylon with a grosgrain crosshatch that mimics their famous quilting. Golden hardware, a lock and internal clochettes further set this one apart from its humbler brethren.
