his autumn, Sotheby’s will hold its auction of Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy on October 10th, featuring over a hundred exquisite works from the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. The collection includes masterpieces ranging from ancient classics to fine works from the Ming and Qing periods. Highlights include a joint volume of letters by Zhao Mengfu and Kang Li, titled "Letter to Yan Fang" and "Letter to Brother Zi Yuan," as well as a combined volume of poetry and painting by the Neo-Confucian master Wang Shouren and the renowned painter Zeng Jing, titled "Poetry and Painting of the Moon at Tianquan." Additionally, there will be exceptional works such as Dong Qichang's fine running script calligraphy of the "Heart Sutra" and its inclusion in the "Shiqu Baoji," as well as a volume of imperial poetry illustrated by Dong Gao titled "Ten Poems on Fishing Gear."
