Palestine-Photograph Collection
A large collection of over 1,000 photographs of Jerusalem and the Holy Land, 1860s to early 1900s
comprising:
twelve photograph albums, three panoramas of Jerusalem, one large (30 x 115cm.), large photographic prints of the Holy Land (40 x 27.5cm.), a collection of stereoscopic views by a variety of photographers, a Holmes-type stereo viewer and numerous photographs of the Middle East, particularly Palestine and Jerusalem, as well as Jewish family photograph collections and photographic prints by Felix Bonfils, Bruno Hentschell, Zadok Bassan, Francis Frith and Frank Mason Good.
A large collection of photographs of the Holy Land from the mid nineteenth century to the first decade of the twentieth century. Highlights including two large panoramas of Jersusalem, seven large photographs by Bonfils of views of Palestine, and a stereo viewer from 1901, manufactured by Underwood & Underwood, along with numerous sets of stereoscopic views by Francis Frith, Frank Mason Good, Bonfils, Ingersoll and Hentschell.
