Many tales and myths have evolved around the fate of ships and sailors on their endless voyages, navigating the unseen rocks along the shallow coastlines. In this painting, a sailor lies dying in fear of being consumed by the Demons in the rocks. He prays for forgiveness and deliverance. God hears his prayer.
