Treasures from Chatsworth, Episode 7: The Landscape as a Work of Art

At Chatsworth, the Devonshire Collection extends beyond the walls of the house. Throughout the garden and grounds, carefully curated sculptures are thoughtfully integrated with the landscape – “it’s like one amazing piece of land art,” says the 12th Duke. Take a tour of the picturesque setting that has been shaped over time by generations of dukes and duchesses.

This summer, Sotheby's is honored to present Treasures from Chatsworth – a rare, public exhibition of works from the fabled Devonshire Collection of Chatsworth House. Free of charge and open to the public, Treasures from Chatsworth will be on view from 28 June through 13 September 2019 in Sotheby’s renovated New York galleries, located at 1334 York Avenue.
