A s the current Style Director of luxury travel and lifestyle magazine Departures (and the former Culture Editor of Vogue.com), Alessandra Codinha has honed a deep appreciation for the world’s finest objects. Somewhere between jet-setting and taking care of arguably the world’s most photogenic golden retriever, Codinha found time to scour Sotheby’s December jewelry catalogues and select her favorite finds. “In this era of sustainability and responsibility, we’re all looking at what we consume differently,” Codinha, a firm believer in buying only what she loves, tells Sotheby’s.
