  Jadeite, chalcedony, enamel, ruby and diamond bracelet, circa 1930. Estimate CHF 22,000–32,000. Sold for CHF 112,500.

  This bracelet was purchased at Mauboussin and is numbered, but unsigned. With the Mauboussin case, this bracelet could have been made by the jewellery house. The delicacy of the carved jadeite combined with the blue enamel imitating lapis lazuli and carved rock crystal links, is a very good illustration of the Art Deco period.

  Signed Cartier, these two sapphire and diamond clips which can be fixed on a gold mount to be worn as a bangle, are an illustration of the transformation jewels. The design, the combination of light blue sapphires, is characteristic of the late 1930s-1940s.

  Attractive and rare ruby, onyx and diamond bracelet, Lacloche, circa 1925. Estimate CHF 310,000–510,000. Sold for CHF 744,500.

  Purchased in 1925 at the Exposition Universelle des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels in Paris, by the grandfather of the former owner, this bracelet remained in the same family and was offered for the first time for sale. Signed Lacloche, this perfectly illustrates the Art Deco period with the naturalistic and stylised motif, the use of polished rubies and onyx, highlighted with diamonds, this piece soared above the estimate to reach three quarters of a million.
