Attractive fancy yellow diamond necklace, W.A. Bolin, 1960s

Of foliate design, composed of a line of gold leaves highlighted with brilliant-cut diamonds, the front set with a old European-cut fancy yellow diamond weighing 45.34 carats, length approximately 390mm, maker's mark for W. A. Bolin, Swedish assay marks, case stamped W.A. Bolin.

Accompanied by GIA report no. 2183284076, stating that the old European brilliant-cut diamond weighing 45.34 carats and measuring 22.62 x 23.65 x 13.72mm, is Fancy Yellow, Natural Colour, VS2 Clarity. Maker's mark for W. A. Bolin. Swedish assay marks for 18 carat gold, mounted in yellow gold. For more information on the central diamond, please refer to the GIA report. Remaining near-colourless diamonds bright and lively. Scratches to the metal consistent with use. Clasp secure, safety catch. In very good condition. Gross weight approximately 80 grams.
