Ireland’s first major exhibition devoted to Pablo Picasso in 25 years focuses on the intimate creative spaces where Picasso developed his revolutionary and prodigious works of art. Developed in collaboration with the Musée National Picasso-Paris and proudly supported by KPMG Ireland, the exhibition examines the studio environments where the artist intertwined his art and life. More than 60 paintings, sculptures, ceramics and works on paper reflect five decades and his practice, with representations ranging from the first studios in Montmartre to Château de Vie in Mougins, his final residence, which overflowed with his artworks. “Still Life with a Mandolin” (1924) from the National Gallery of Ireland’s collection will be joined by major loans such as his cubist work “A Bottle and Newspaper” (1913) and “Portrait de Marie-Thérèse” (1937).
