Sotheby’s is delighted to present our upcoming May Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which brings together an exciting group of works by artists ranging from the French Impressionists to Modern Masters. Impressionist highlights include two paintings by Alfred Sisley and several charming works by Pierre-Auguste Renoir. A major Fernand Léger oil from 1947 anchors the Modern offerings, which also include an early Miró work on paper and Dalí’s depiction of Babylon from his Seven Wonders of the World series. The sale also features a grouping of Post-Impressionist works from the San Diego Museum of Art and a major Raoul Dufy oil from the Art Institute of Chicago.
